Pike Brothers 1943 CPO Shirt - Barrow Red

The US Navy CPO Shirt – a classic among outdoor shirts.

Life on deck was and is a harsh affair. Therefore, clothing had to be specially designed to withstand wind and weather. Over the decades, certain materials and fits have proven their worth in seafaring.
Originally developed in the 1930s, the cut and material have changed only slightly over the decades. Good freedom of movement and two large breast pockets characterize our 1943 CPO shirt. 
CPOs were typically made from a heavy wool fabric. Over the decades, a wide variety of materials have been used. We have the fabric brushed, as is customary for flannel, which makes it particularly soft and comfortable.
